Win98 SE connected to LAN with NIC gets DHCP info, including TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, etc. from the DHCP server on the local LAN.
Now, when that laptop goes home, dials into a RAS device over PPP, the PPP adapter gets DHCP info, including TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, etc. — BUT — cannot connect to the IP subnet where there office is. (i.e. can’t PING a host, lets say 10.10.13.10)
That being said, if I run WINIPCFG, I can look at the PPP and Ethernet adapter info. Both have “good” info in them. If I “RELEASE ALL” on the Ethernet card, I can then PING the remote server (i.e. 10.10.13.10)
Any ideas?
