The user had actually gotten rid of them, when she turned it on end and they all fell out.

Disassemble the notebook and clean it.

The user had actually gotten rid of them, guess most of them fell out when she turned it on end and they all fell out. Thanks for the help just the same.

If you don't wish to disassemble the laptop, remove or cover the drives, tape over all connectors, and place it in a box inside a large heavy-weight plastic bag.

Spray 1/4 to 1/2 of a can of Ant spray into the bag, and seal the bag.
(Do not spray directly onto the laptop.)

Let it set for 1 - 3 days.

Take the assembly outside, and open the bag.
Expel the gas away from you.

Wipe down the outside of the laptop with clean towels or cleaning cloths dampened with a good cleaner.

Keep in mind, that the ants likely setup their nest in the laptop because of spilled soda or similar sweet items inside the laptop.
Unless you clean up the food source, they will be back.

Great answer actually but the sitiuation has been resolved. I'd like to use this solution if this ever happens again. The user had actually gotten rid of them, when she turned it on end and they all fell out. Thanks for the help just the same.
