I am currently running Windows 2000 server on an HP DL360 G5 and am seeing some strangeness with regards to the TCP/IP settings.
First of all, the server is manually configured with multiple IP addresses and IPCONFIG /all correctly identifies all of the IP addresses. However, when I look at the settings in the Network Connection window I am told that IP addresses are handled via DHCP. Also, if is disable the card and then reenable it all settings are lost and must be manually reentered – which, of course, starts the whole process over again.
Has anyone else seen something like this?
