Streaming media

By ifinder ·
In order to view streaming media from MSN I would have to open port 80, is this a security risk? I can recieve streaming media from many other sites without opening this port. What should I do? This one of the reasons for my continueing misstrust in Microsoft and am thinking of changing to Linux, should I?

ah well , if you surf the Internet using whatever flavor of web browser you use, your using port 80. Even if you go to Linux O/S you'll have to have port 80 open for your web browser to surf the net.
