Streaming video clip

By VivaVoce ·
I've embedded my first video clip. Unfortunately, the .avi file opens in a MediaPlayer platform (I wanted RealPlayer) and begins downloading (for 10-20 minutes) instead of beginning immediate play when the page opens.

Please show me where I should correct my code so that the page streams instead of downloads.

The code I used is:

<embed src=http://www.suite101.com/files/topics/5325/files/bricklayer2.avi height=108 width=28% controller=false autoplay=true playeveryframe=false pluginspage="oops.html">

Incidentally, this page is now live and I cannot pull it, only edit it or delete it.

To create a video clip that uses the RealPlayer platform, you need to use the Real Producer program. I used it to convert WAV files over to Real Media files. And, I believe you can create them to be streaming.
(There is an option when your creatingthe file that allows you to create the clip for streaming media.)

Thanks. This was helpful. If publishing audio/video clips becomes a regular matter, I'll consider getting Real Producer.
