Stripping Text

In a column in excel, the cells have text entered as 10/12.5 or12.5/16.
Can a way be found to just have the text after the seperator "/" written into the adjacent cell.

Use the FIND and MID functions like this. Assuming the text 10/12.5 is in A2, and you want the result 12.5 in B2, enter the formula below into B2:


The MID function returns text from A2, from 1 character past the slash character, to the end of the string.

Select the entries. Go to Data>Convert Text to Columns.
When asked for a Delimiter, type / in the Other box.

This also a good tip. In my case the text is updated frequently. The changes will not automatically update the adjacent columns. Another arrow in the quiver for me! Thanks.
