Working in IT for over 10 years now and I am starting to feel like there
has to be more out there. I don’t know if I am burned out or just
bored with what I do. Most of the day-to-day activities is visiting
client sites and performing maintenance on the servers. Work on
desktop issues as well as making sure AV is up-to-date. Sometimes I
luck out and the client wants to do a project for a migration or
upgrade which in most cases I don’t get to do because it requires a
higher level. Sometimes I get to shadow the project but hardly get to
do much during the project.
I’ve always felt I made the right choice to go into IT, seemed more
exciting than biology and up until now I’ve always had fun doing what
I do. But lately I’ve been wanting a change. Just not sure where to go
and what to do, not to mention how to get there.
Anyone else feel that way?
