I have installed 2X US robotics 2884-01 internal modems in a windows 2000 server that I want to use as a RAS Server, I have checked both modems work ok on this server before installing the RAS componet, after installing RAS they work ok until I reboot, After I reboot I get the message portin use when I do a query from the modem property page.
And an event log
The communication device attached to port COM3 is not functioning. and The communication device attached to port COM4 is not functioning.
If I disable the routing and remote access servers and reboot, the modems work again,
I alos get the same problem if only one modem is used
Any ideas?
