I’m currently trying to pass my Net+ Certification exam. On one of the practice exam quetions I was completely stumped! PLEASE … HELP!
The question reads:
A network has been assigned the IP address 201.180.150.0, it will be subnetted and it will have a minimum of 120 hosts on the whole network.
What is the maximum number of hosts possible on the whole network?
I did eventually find out the what the right answer was, but what I really need to know is EXACTLY to determine the right way to find out the maximum number of hosts possible for any IP address with ANY variant of minimum host, etc.
Thank you VERY much for your help!
