Subnetting: 192.168.0.100/26 means?

the IP maybe a uncorrect Ip for the /26 but my questions is what does the /26 mean? I am studying subnetting and know it has something to do with that?

26 means using 26 bits as the sub-net mask

it means you have 26 bit in the subnet mask.

Therefore your subnet mask would be 255.255.255.192

That way of refering to IP addresses is refered to as Classless InterDomain Routing (CIDR) format.
