I read the following article on subnetting:

This seems a really good method of subnetting and works well.
But I have no idea how to apply it to questions such as:
Question: You are designing a subnet mask for the 10.0.0.0 network. You want 2700 subnets with up to 2200 hosts on each subnet. What subnet mask should you use?
Question: What is the first valid host on the subnetwork that the node 192.168.48.213/29 belongs to?
Question: You are designing a subnet mask for the 172.18.0.0 network. You want 120 subnets with up to 400 hosts on each subnet. What subnet mask should you use?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
