    Hi

I was looking for a tablet to take notes to replace the old school pen and paper. What would be the best option in this case? I just need something with a pen and a decent notes app which allows me to draw straight lines and use different colors (Civil Engineering student). Probably I’ll also use it for media consumption, but not that much. Also, good battery life is a must as I have to be at university for 8-10 hour per day and I would prefer a good quality, high resolution screen. I was looking into the Apple products, but if you have any other suggestions, I’m happy to check them out.

I will suggest you look into the Samsung Tab S series. They include an S-pen and several applications installed to allow its use.

Currently a tab s7 user and coming from someone who really took some time into researching and balancing my needs+budget+specs, the s7 is a banger! Once you experience a 122hz screen, you dont want to go back. Having the s-pen with the whole packager is also pretty sweet, and i honestly prefer it over the apple pencil (I’ve tried both from friends prior to buying my tab s7, and as an artist, i prefer the s-pen’s weight). You don’t need to charge it also when you’re just gonna use it for notetaking, amd the latency is almost nonexistent. For the iPad air, from my previous research, it has a 60hz screen and you still have to purchase the apple pencil separately. For notetaking, Samsung notes is my go-to application and the interface has only been improving from the time i purchased it last Feb 2021.

Hello! There are several tablet options available that would be suitable for note-taking and other tasks you mentioned. Here are some of the top recommendations:

iPad Pro: The iPad Pro is a great choice for note-taking with its Apple Pencil support and high-resolution screen. The iPad Pro has a powerful processor, long battery life, and a variety of apps available for note-taking and other tasks.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7: The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 is a popular Android tablet with a high-quality display and S Pen support. It also has a long battery life and a variety of note-taking apps available in the Google Play Store.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7: The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is a 2-in-1 tablet with a detachable keyboard and a Surface Pen for note-taking. It runs on Windows 10, which offers a wide range of productivity apps and software.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 13: The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is a versatile Android tablet with a built-in kickstand and a large, high-resolution screen. It also has an included stylus for note-taking and sketching.

All of these tablets are great options for note-taking and other tasks, but the iPad Pro is probably the most popular choice among students due to its wide range of note-taking apps and Apple Pencil support. However, it is also the most expensive option. If you are looking for a more budget-friendly option, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 or Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 may be a good choice for you.
