Sunray Thin Clients

Is there a why of running SunRay1 thin terminals on linux without using sun server 3.0. And if so how do you do it.

There is Sun Server software for Linux, but I don't know of any way to use the thin clients without it.

AFAIK, the answer is no

The sunray appliances are true thin clients they dont have disk, operating system (although they do have a flash,that's the least they could have) and are stateless and, hence, depend entirelly on their connection to the SRSS, the sunray server, they act as a monitor/mouse/keyboard extention via network. The graphic traffic between the appliance and the SRSS is 'private' and can be even encrypted if on a public network.
