Support checklist

I need a checklist of things my phone people should ask clients to check when they call to help determine whether an onsite visit is needed. I see too many site visits scheduled that really weren't needed.

Why weren't they needed? Make a list. Put those items that didn't warrant a visit in the checklist. You'll have an expanding list of things to check and the beginnings of a nice knowledge database to boot.

There are a couple of checklists in the TechRepublic download section. These should make a good starting point.

There is also an article on how to have users perform their own triage for PC problems.
