Please help!
I Have Windows 2000 server and 40 workstations running windows 2000 professional, the workstations are joined to the Domain. But the problem is that 5 minutes after logging to the Server, the following message appears on the workstations” Program error” then below this the message reads” svchost.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows, you will need to restart the program, an error log is being created”. After this error, the following happens on the workstation: 1. The My Network places window is empty thus you can’t browse the network 2. Windows installer is nocked out 3. The Local Area Network Indicator on the Task bar disappears 4.If you want to load any Microsoft Word or excell e.t.c you get the following message:”This document could not be registered, it will not be possible to create Links from other documents to this document”
BUT: If I disjoin the workstations from the Domain, no message appears and no problem. BUT also if the computers are left running but not used the message will not appear even for days but once the Computers are used the message appears again
