I run a small consulting shop, majority of contracts relate to intranet application development. I’ve been experimenting with SVG as a rich interface for such applications. Interactivity can be provided through javascript and it’s quite efficient to drive the interface from server side data, especially when interfacing with webservices, and the data stream is provided in XML.
I was wondering if anyone else has been doing similar type of development, what tools you recommend, and what potential pitfalls of leveraging SVG and XSLT in such solutions.
Just in my initial research, Corel’s Smart Graphics Studio seems to be what I’m looking for, but I’ve just downloaded the trial this week and starting to play with it. Is there anything else like it on the market?
