Is it possible to exchange the com ports around on a PC? For example, make Com1 become Com2, and Com2 become Com1?
Why you ask? I plugged the serial cable from my device to the 9-pin Com1 connector on my PC and configured my device to Com1. Nothing happened. I moved the serial cable to com2 connector on the PC and voila it worked. I know its not the device, because I tried it on another PC and the Com ports matched.
