I have a ethernet over fiber network. I am attempting to cascade two switches — Other than the crossover cable (RJ45) How would I connect the two switches via the fiber ports? My first thought was to connect the tx of sw 1 to the rx of sw 2 and the tx of sw 2 back to the fiber patch — but is this workable — AND, if it is, how do I treat IP addresses for each switch, delete one and keep one.
