We currently have a set of 24 PCs hooked up to a hub and uplinked to a Lynsys DSL router with NAT. We are however expanding and adding about 30 other PCs to the mix. We could connect another two hubs to the router but I am fearfull of network collisions. At what point (number of network devices) shoudl we consider using switches in place of hubs? Also, should we decide to use switches, what woudl be the consideration for smart switches vs. regular ones?
