My current primary hard drive, a WD400eb OEM,
and is reaching the end of its MTF. My secondary drive is a Diamond mas plus9 6Y080P0
80GB ultra133 7200RPM 8mb. Obviously a larger drive and about one and half years of use.
My question is that I intend to still use the
older drive so I switched places with both drives. I know that if two drives are on one controler than both drives have to have the jumper pins configured as Cable select. I thout that the first drive using the first
ata contoller cable. But when I switched everything out and I rebooted it came back
as if nothing had changed. Primary the WD and secondayr the 6y080p0. Highly confused.
