Switching Outlook Express Message Store

By rasojohn ·
Is there a way to make Outlook Express change its message store from a local drive to a network drive?
We are using several Citrix servers to share the apps across a mixed platform of Unix and PCs. Outlook Express will allow the message store to be moved, but only to a LOCAL drive. I would like it on a network drive for stability and backing up.

Unfortunately, the Outlook Express message store is not as simple as it's big brother. Outlook keeps a file for each of folder that you have created thus having many files to backup. In backing up the message store you also have to copy registry entries which makes this a task we would like to avoid altogether. I don't think I've met anyone who has a quick and painless solution to restoring the Outlook Message store but if you go to www.tomsterdam.com you will instructed which files and registry items you need to back up also.

Good luck
