SXS.DLL – Syntax Error in Manifest

Hi,
I try to upgrade from windowME to windowsXP profeccional edition, and I have the next messege:
“sxs.dll: syntax error in manifest or policy file
E:\I386\asms\6000\msft\windows\common\control\control.man. on line0.
Did any one know what is this?
