Symantec Backup exec 11d

Symantec Backup exec 11d
Hi my boss just gave me a box of tapes to do an inventory and then catalogue to verify there time and date and their location is correct. When I do an inventory and then catalogue it only gives me today’s date not when the backup actually took place.
Im stumped any help would be much appreciated.
