SysFader and Windows 2000 Server

By cweglosk ·
Often when shutting down a W2K Server a dialogue box appears and displays that the system is attempting to shut down SysFader. It never does shut it down and I have to terminate it. What is SysFader and how do I prevent it from halting the server shutdown?

SysFader and Windows 2000 Server

SysFader is the program that makes those menu items fade away when you click something in, say, the Programs menu. You can disable the SysFader by going to the Display Properties, Effects tab and uncheck the "Use Transition Effects for Menu's and Tooltips" checkbox.
Hope this Helps

I disagree. Sysfader is a name for that transition effect but that is not what causes all the problems. If you would like to know how to fix it then e-mail me.
