Sysprep for windows2000

by muitst . Updated 25 years, 10 months ago

I’m a system administrator trying to perfect a Ghost image for all my workstations with windows 2000.I’m using Ghost version 6.03 and the restore portion is fine. I’ve had problems with ghostwalker changing the Sid after imaging…
I called Norton and they are still working on the problems. I decided to try using Microsoft’s Sysprep to change the Sid which works, however after running sysprep at minimum Configuration upon reboot I am being prompted to enter the product serialnumber (Product key) Which will be a major inconvenience to my installers.
I have not been able to successfully modify the sysprep.inf file to change just the Sid only.
My question is. Is there a way to just change the Sid and nothing more using Microsoft sysprep??
