    SysPrep not Promting for Username

    Locked

    by thatdarnpc ·

Hi there all, we are having difficulty with our sysprepping. After creating images for various XP’s (HE, PRO & MC)we are unable to enter new Username/Owner on the fresh indstall from image. It is going thru the motions like normal except it is not Prompting for New Owner name/Username when installing from the syspreped image file.
Has any one seen this problem and know how to rectify as MS wants us to pay them money just for them to look at the problem, which I find unacceptable.

you want a link to the MS “how-to” on sysprep or just what works for others?

Next question: are you saying that your answer file is not working?

I Know how to use SysPrep have been for 4-5 years without a problem until now.
My Problem is that it is not removing the Initial username that the image creation used and is not prompting for new username/owner as it should be as setup in manager

post your .inf file please, with certain things removed, of course.

just out of curiosity, why do you want unique local accounts on each system?
