Sysprep utility and Microsoft Office XP

By rpdomingue ·
I have several new computers we purchased from DELL (all specs are the same). I want to run the Sysprep utility on these WinXP workstations and get them out to my users pretty quickly. However, I have a dilemma. The new PCs came bundled with MS Office XP. I'm nearly finished installing & activating all our necessary programs on the first workstation (except for Office XP). My question is, can I activate and register the Product Key Code for Office XP on the first workstation or no? If so with the image created, will this give me problems when I image the next workstation? I?m diving into an area that I?m not quite solid of what to do. Any advice for me? I don?t want any errors after running the Sysprep utility. Just wanting to find some more documentation on running Sysprep utility and Office XP. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you purchased the license agreement with the new computers then you will not have a problem activating the product code on the first machine.

The question is was licenses purchased or a single copy license purchased for one machine,if this is the case then you will not be able to activate the product code on the other machines without getting a warning that the code has been previously activated,so the license should cover the other machines when you are prompted to activate,if no then you have a problem

I think I've got it but just to clarify, I have 4 Office XP licenses . . . 1 for each CPU. So you?re saying if I was to activate & register the Office XP software on the first computer (the one I?m getting the ghost image off of), then I CANNOT useit on the other workstations to be imaged . . . will receive an error message? Am I following this correctly? Thanks again!
