Now the reason I am writing is that, this motherboard will not take a hard drive over 30GB without a BIOS upgrade. Now I have been to various websites, including the Award BIOS website and have not received clear direction of how to upgrade my BIOS firmware. I know, that once I do this and if it is not right I could ruin my motherboard. Do you have any suggestions, other than a purchase of a 30GB hard drive.
I have recently purchased a40GB, 80GB and I did have a 30GB from MAXTOR which died, and they sent back a 60GB as a replacement.
