System Clock Set Back Error

By figrsk8r ·
I keep getting an error on several of my programs that says the system clock appears to have been reset and they won't load. But I haven't changed any clock setting at all. Running XP MCE. Clock is set to current date and time for locale. Any suggestions on how to resolve?

If you are on a network, the server may be resetting your clock everytime you login. If the program is critical of this, disable this option in your client settings. (turn off "Set Station Time").

I am not on a network. I work from home and this is my personal computer.

The cause of this error may very well be attributable to spyware. Have you recently been to any site offering any type of utility for scheduling or date reminders?

Please could you give a bit more detail - what programs will not run, what is the exact error message?
You are probably infected by spyware or a virus. If you have not already done so, buy a decent antivirus.
Check your add/remove programs, task manager and startup tab in msconfig for suspicious-looking programs, and remove.
