This is one hell of a annoying problem. I got this laptop (not the newest on the market, but its good to do basic stuff); Esprimo Mobile v5515 (fujitsu siemens), 1,60 ghz,, 765 mb RAM. Here?s the problem: It restarts exactly when my OS, windows xp pro, is about to start (a blue screen appears right before it restarts. Every time i start up the laptop i get this message: System Configuration Data Updated
ERROR
System configuration data read error
Press F1 to resume, F2 to setup.
The good news is that the Smart disk failure error is gone, i replaced the harddrive with another one, but this message is still STUCK!
And this is important – i reinstalled everything the other day, i got it to work (pressed f1) and used it perfectly. But when i installed f-secure it just won?t boot up. I almost get to windows but it reboots, right when it is about to start. Annoying.
So, its not the harddrive. Its replaced. CMOS battery? Well, it looks good. The date and time is correct in bios. I have tried to take out components and put it right back but still i get this message. The smart disk error is solved, but how do i get rid of this? Can it just crash when i try to install f-secure?
