Do your systems get slow gradually, or are they slow to start with?

what spec machines do you have?

How much free disk space do they have?

Open defragmenter and check how much fragmentation is on C: this is a commonly overlooked problem.

Another thing to look out for is spyware. It can slow your systems to a crawl. I would install either the Microsoft Antispyware Beta or a combination of Adaware and Spybot. If the systems are slow to begin with, I'd check that you have the correct DNS server specified on your network TCP/IP settings.

since you mentioned mcafee, it made me think of something i read about performance being affected with the setting of virus scan all exe's. really slows stuff down.
