All fields are required. Username must be unique. Password must be a minimum of 6 characters and have any 3 of the 4 items: a number (0 through 9), a special character (such as !, $, #, %), an uppercase character (A through Z) or a lowercase (a through z) character (no spaces).
This will involve installing the correct drivers for your OS and the Printer then going into the Printer Dialog Box and setting the Port that the printer is connected to.
If you just clicked on Install a Printer and then Auto Installed the Printer Drivers from the computer that it is connected to on the network you have most likely picked up the wrong drivers for that printer and Your OS.
Printer Drivers are Platform Dependant so if you try to use a Windows 2003 one on a XP computer it will cause the Computer to fall over every time you run that driver which is what you are describing here.
