Did you try to see if all the system tools were installed? Go to Control Panel/Add remove programs
Windows setup and system tools. Make sure all are checked. Hope that helped

Could be the shortcut Target location is missing. To find out if you have the correct file and path use find and look for msinfo32.exe (at least on 98 its what its called). If the file exists then you can run the program from the start menu pop up run box, just type msinfo32 and OK or press enter. If this works go through the menus to System Information and right click followed by left click on properties then type in the path found from "find" and append .exe to the path (i.e. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSINFO\MSINFO32.EXE" ) click apply followed by close - if the path is incorrect (like a spelling mistake)a pop up will inform you. Hope this does it
