System is moving slowly

hai,
i have a pc with p4-2ghz(512mb), when i copying a data from cd rom the system shows very slow, the mouse pointer is moving slowly ,i cant do any thing at the time of copying....
Any can help me

Dear,
I think your CDRom is connected with your Harddisk with the same caple on mother board.This situation will make your system very slow when you use the CDRom, therefore use two caples intead of one caple to connect the Harddisk and CDRom on the mother board.

An other possible reason is a virus infection. When you access the CD ROM, the virus tries to infect it.

Make sure that your System Configuration Utility (Start--Run--msconfig--OK) Startup tab only has your firewall, AV and anti-spyware apps checked. Anything more checked here and your system can slow up.
