system memory dump at shutdown Win2000

By rekruyt ·
Everytime when I shutdown my notebook running Win2000, I get a blue screen with the following messag:

System memory dump
***stop:0x0000009f(0x00000100,0x812d3620,0x812D3620,0x81483910)
Driver_power_state_failure

To power down I have to remove AC adapter and battery.

Anyone any idea.

Thanks

Ruud

Try Q246243 at support.microsoft.com.
Looks like its going to be a bit of a hunt to find the offending driver.

why don't you try enabling the advanced power management feature in your control panel(power options) and if that doesn't work well your best bet will be to upgrade your bios and this should cure the illness.
