A couple of my customers are suddenly getting “System Memory is running very low…” or “Out of System Memory” errors on their Win 98 machines attached to a network of one to two NT 4 servers. On their machine it comes up as either a blue screen (on ’98, not NT) with white letters, or just when they’re trying to save a file to the NT 4 server – can’t pinpoint a specific software that they’re in, the error just pops up. I’ve scanned all stations, including servers for viruses; they’re also covered by latest virus packages and live updates; behind firewalls. I’m at a loss and the system memory errors keep popping up. If I reboot server and workstations, they’re fine for awhile. The machines themselves have plenty of resources when checked, in addition to having plenty of disk space and memory. They’ve been running fine for years, so nothing really new has been installed. Any help is appreciated!! Points WILL be awarded!
