I was reinstalling my XP.. When I started it I saw that some picture files, which was on other HDD, didn’t show the preview.. I thought that it’s just error. But there were very important pictures for me which was broken now.. Then I found that files which are broken has Advanced attributes set to “Encrypt contents to secure data” .. So I tried to check this out, bet it doesn’t work. It shows that access is denied for this file.. That’s about all my broken files. Then I looked Details about this encryption and there were written “User name – UN(UN@SYSTEM)” That System name is different than my system name by now. Could it be the reason why these files seems broken? And can I safely change my systems name to old one? How?
