Using a win 95 system poledit, I saved a group policy in client computer using win 98, but once it was setted, it is not changing, what should I do, is there any folders in the client computer itself where I can save the policy, if what is the path

A policy is saved in the netlogon share of a PDC and thru Dir rep to BDC (if it dosnt change often and you have only one BDC you dont have to use dir rep) if you save it on clients computer its not going to update your registry each time you start your computer.
The policy itself has to be named (for win9x clients) config.pol and as mentioned above has to bee saved in the netlogon share the default netlogon share is "winnt\system32\rep\inport\scripts" on your Domain controlers.
For group policy to take affect on win9x machines there is one more step involved (besides saving it in the netlogon share) to install group policy, you do that by going to Add Remove Programs Windows setup and choose have disk and browse to the location of the files of group policy (its located in the same dir as the policy editor for win98 on the win 98 CD-ROM) and choose group policy.
in order that it should work fine on a win9x machine you have to use the policy editor from a win9x machine since the one on a windows NT machine does not work for win9x clients.
also for win 9x clients you have to make sure that:
1.The primary network logon in network properties are set to client for MS networks.
2.The check box in the properties of client for MS networks that stats "logon to domain controller to validate password" is checked.

That was not the answer to my question, I want a specific answer, one is there, it will run if it is client system, but what about the other, once you modified it it is not working in the client....

You can load policy files from local drives: start the poledit and open you registry first (File - Open Registry) in the "local Computer" - Network - System policies updates, highlight the "Remote update". You will see the Choice "Update Mode" Automatic in the lower part of the window. Change this setting to "Manual" and specify the path where the config.pol file ist stored. Save this settings. Now you have to add this settings to your config.pol file, otherwise the registry will be overwriten as soon the config.pol file is loaded.

That was answer to one, certainly it did help me, but what about the main part, once a policy was setted, modifying config.pol is not changing, I mean the effects is not taking place....

When you change a policy file that you want it should work on a Win9x machine you have to change it on a win9x machine if you change it on a winnt machine its not going to work on win9x machines.
