i am currently running an 800MHz p3, have tweaked the various confugurations to a formidable performance, and consistently run software rated for a 2GHz p4 without any glitches or even hitches, if perhaps a little slowly on rare occasion.
i am currently attempting to install another such “over-powered” program; and it is doing the typical processor-speed check, only this one is not merely ADVISING me that i don’t have enough machine, it is ABORTING THE INSTALL over it.
i am not interested in the author’s tech-support-conscious evaluation of how his software MIGHT perform on my system; but rather in my own evaluation of how it DOES work on my system.
can anyone advise me as to a registry entry i could adjust to dupe this idiot installer into thinking that i am running a 27GHz pentium-8?
