I upgraded from XP to VISTA. I was having a problem booting up my system after running Spybot S&D. I accidentally used the old Windows XP recovery CD’s to try to restore my system. After failing (obviously) to use the wrong CD’s, I used my VISTA UPGRADE DVD to repair and restore my files. The only problem is that my system is still trying to finish the recovery to XP each time I boot the system. I am trying to by-pass this but I don’t know how. I sed the VISTA DVD to ultimately get to open a Command Prompt window.
Is there is a way to by-pass the problem? I went from the X: drive to the C: prompt. Does anyone know the command to get straight to windows from the C: prompt? Will this even work?
