Right Clicking on “My Computer” and then clicking on the system restore tab brings up this error and problem.
Run DLL as an App Error
AppName: rundll32.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.2180 ModName: srrstr.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 000099b2
Now the only thing(s) that I can think of that are causing this problem is that I have:
Upgraded the hard drive
Installed Diskeeper Home Edition. (diskeeper.com)
Installed Spy-bot S&D
Some time ago I installed PC Tools Registry Mechanic, and I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it. I suspect Diskeeper, as I was able to look at a log, and the problem showed up about the time that I installed the home edition. I had used the professional trial version… I’ve searched their site, but not found any answers in their FAQ’s.
Anyone out there have some ideas? Favorite tools to keep windows healthy?
Thanks!
