System restore points in a dual boot, windows 7 & XP

By kalokohan ·
To retain your system restore points in windows 7 when booting to xp, simply stop monitoring system restore of windows 7 in windows XP. It worked with me, hope it will also work on you.

System restore points in a dual boot, windows 7 & XP

In a dual boot or two operating system or partitions, one is windows 7 and the one is windows xp, when you reboot to xp your system restore points in windows 7 vanishes or it is being erased by windows xp. To prevent this, reboot to windows xp, right click my computer, then go to properties, then system restore monitoring and uncheck the drive for windows 7.
