I have the LOGO.SYS file in my root directory C:\ and I have the files LOGOS.SYS and LOGOW.SYS in C:\WINDOWS and I’m running WinME. However, when I either shutdown or restart my computer, I have problems. When I restart, I get a blinking cursor ona blank screen (usually in the same spot – middle right 1/3 of the screen) and I have to hit the restart button to get my computer to restart back into windows. When I go to shutdown, I usually get 1 inch thick vertical brown lines down the screen and I have to unplug the power cord to shut it down. But when I boot up my computer, I get the logo that I want – whatever logo is the LOGO.SYS file. This happens whether I have the default WinME logos or not.
