System will not shut down but restarts

By childrey ·
I have a small office with 6 PCs running Win95. I have 1 system that will sometimes restart by itself and sometimes it will not shut down when told to do so. It will restart instead. These PCs are networked using a hub. When the network cable is disconnected the computer works just fine. No problems at all. Any thoughts??

Try This

Your Network driver apparently has some problem.
Remove your network card physically from the PC's
Then , Try to remove all the driver under the control panel / network.
Coldstart the system and then shutdown.
Fixed in the network card and reload all necessary driver when asked.
Good Luck.

Faulty Board

If reloading of the driver does not work , it could only mean one reason . Your hardware is giving problem.
Try changing the board .
