Systen Policy for Win95

By pbmores ·
My questions are:
a. How can I hide specific drive/s for Win95 using it's system policy?
b. How can I set screen saver for Win95 using it's system policy?

I found such articles and procedures that works only for Win NT. How about for Win 95? I tried those procedures to Win95 but didn't work. Any suggestions?

Windows 95 has its own System Policy system, independent from the one for NT Workstations. However the same POLEDIT is used; for W9x editing you first need to load the Windows.adm and Common.adm templates. Also you should save the policy as CONFIG.POL, not as NTCONFIG.POL.

The following sites should contain the information you need: www.microsoft.com/technet/win95/technote/userprof.asp and www.microsoft.com/technet/win98/tips/protuser.asp. Also, at support.microsoft.com, refer to articles Q161809, Q150855, and Q250323.
