Take your mind off things...

Read a free webcomic...
Like Phoenix Requiem, which has very pretty artwork and a nice suspense factor coming along as well... I'm at the painful point where I've caught up to the release updates, and even though they have it coming out at an amazing speed, it's still hard to wait for the next installment.

What else can we do to stave off the silence and fear, encroaching?

Speak for yourself

If fear, it is not with those who walk off the job. That is defiance.

Can't do it.

As a member of the Society for Putting Things on Top of Other Things, this goes against my code of conduct.

Well... look at this!

They put webcomics on top of other webcomics
This is a most sinister convention of the Power Users, by the way. The PTB, they try to scry our motives. Whether we will move, or whether we will shake...

"Descry"

by santeewelding In reply to Well... look at this!

Would have sufficed. "Scry", though, does lend panache.

Probably accurate, too. What they so reflexively reject has to be a mystery to them. Requires of them that they consult a crystal ball.

Spell-Check doesn't like "scry". Makes me wonder if the PTB reason no farther than does their Spell-Check of intellection (doesn't like "intellection", either).

Hmm. Spelling check from where?

by seanferd In reply to "Descry"

Mozilla browser dictionaries certainly have some weird failures of recognition, and need to be trained. Come to think off it, I've never used spelling check in another application, so this could be par for the course.

Descry. v/ Scry. (S) Intellection. (S)

Most certainly not

From the Oxford Union Standing Committee. I don't think the PTB have any truck with them, either.

Yes, they do!

A convergence of interests, that. It's just that I can't take my mind off of things.

Were you the one who posted the link for Girl Genius recently? Anyway, if you like to break your brain occasionally, there's nothing like having a child do it for you:

Ah... but...

I only suggest you put your mind on top of a greater variety of things...

Good suggestion in general,

but unlikely for me. I'm so all-over-the-place, you might not believe it.

Here's something for you, maybe. You can actually read the entire thing, as it isn't particularly ancient, nor daily.

But I have been living the same thing all my life. AND I think I'm older than you.

All-over-the-place is my middle (but not legal) name!
