I recently upgraded the hard drives in my domain controller that handles my FSMO roles to bigger drives. The raid controller handled all of the data rebuild but only shows the array as the original size. I need to take down my machine and rebuild the array, then recovery my domain controller. My question is, what is the best way to do that? I understand I need to transer all of my FSMO roles first, but should I demote the controller and then remove it before I take it down? I want to make this as clean as possible. Any ideas?
