There is confusion and there is dissension among the troops about Spam.

Tell you what.

Deputize me.

Give me the power of the One Click Of Death. I will make short work of what I see.

With absolute power like that, I will mostly try not to be corrupt.

Trust me.

Tammy, may I suggest a couple of regulars in non US timezones

by Deadly Ernest In reply to Tammy

be given the power to freeze the account of a spammer until such time as you can make the final decision - I spent a fair bit of time during your night, last night, following a spammer around the site and hitting the button on nearly a hundred posts by them.

If this suggestion is seen to have merit, may I be deputised as such, being an Aussie, I'm usually up when you US based folk are asleep.

Tammy can be the captain of the Privateer ship Tech Republic, and can designate officers responsible for various watches.

Of course, you MUST have cannon.

That's a grotesquely unstable firing platform.

Naval gunfire has always had problems with accuracy along the firing line. There's no problem with deflection (side to side). However, the rise and fall of a smaller ship in response to wave action can affect the elevation of the gun, and the resulting round can go over or fall short of the ship. Even waiting for a trough or crest before firing can result in inaccuracy, since every trough or crest isn't the same height.

It ain't as easy as Errol Flynn or Johnny Depp make it look. Results are often more akin to what Wile E. Coyote achieved with his catapult.

With only Ernest rowing, and the thing going in a circle, he'd probably hit himself.
