Hey guys, I am trying to tar a directory that is 24GB large. I’ve never tarred any directory that large before and know that there is a limitation to tar. I need some help to tar a directory and move it across the network to a different machine… is this possible? The machine is running Solaris 9 and currently has only about 10GB of space left….any help is really appreciated.
