Tasers, should the Police have them?

In the last few weeks here in Canada, the news services reported on three separate incidents where the Police used tasers to try to control an individual.

incident 1:
RCPM Detatchment at YVR [ Vancouver International Airport ] used pepper spray, batons then tsed a person twice. he died.

incident 2:
RCMP in Chilliwack BC [ 30 minute drive from YVR ] used a taser on an individual who became combative when they arrived after 911 was called for their assistance in removing him from the business premises, he was hospitalized by the use of the taser.

incident 3:
Montreal police have said that the man was intoxicated when they stopped him for a traffic violation last Sunday and that he became aggressive when he was questioned.
Officers used a taser to subdue him and he ended up in critical condition in hospital.
He died from the injuries received by the tasing.

If three separate used of the taser have cause 2 hospitalisations and two deaths, should the police be issued tasers? if so, should they be retrained in the correct usage?

Personally, I say take all the “less lethal” garbage away from them, and tell them to shoot to kill.
if not obeying the police means instant death penalty then it would be assumed that those who don’t listen to police instruction are criminals with something to hide from the police. A funeral is cheaper than court and prison costs, it would save huge amounts of taxpayers dollars.
